WriteAway is British Columbia's collaborative online writing support service. Learners at participating institutions receive feedback and strategies to improve their writing from qualified tutors.
WriteAway tutors provide feedback on course-based academic writing assignments keeping in mind the objective of developing the academic writing skills of the writer. Tutors will refer requests not related to the student’s academic career to other service providers.
Undergraduate course-based assignments:
- may be submitted 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
- will be responded to within 48 hours (although periods of high usage may result in longer turnaround times)
- will be responded to in the order of submission
The WriteAway project was initiated by the Council of Senior Student Affairs Leaders in BC (CSSAL), and was developed in cooperation with BCcampus, the BC Electronic Library Network (BC ELN), and Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, University of British Columbia.
